Standard Operating Procedure for Before/After a Track Event
I have many questions regarding what needs to be done before/after a track event.Â* I can't seem to find all the info in 1 spot, so I thought I'd compile everything and ask it here.
What do you need to do to maintain the car if you are tracking.Â*
1) Since you change oil/filter every 3k, what happens when you track?Â* Change immediately after?Â* how many miles?Â* What grade is best for tracking in summer? Wont 10W-30 be too thin?
2) Transmission Fluids/Tranny Fluids/Coolant/Other fluid
3) How about 15k/30k/45k/60k servicing....does it get moved up when tracking?
4) Brake Fluid?Â* Bleed prior to event?Â* How about after (safe for street)?Â* How long, until next track event then bleed again?
What needs to be replaced, fluid changed, bled, etc...after or before an event?
Thanks guys.Â* So far I have 12k miles, changed all tranny/transfercase/coolant fluids at 10k ish miles after first event.Â* Done all normal oil changes.Â* And an oil change at 11375miles after 2nd event.Â* Am i good or am I missing something?
