^ This is the unit I'm assuming he uses (he can correct me). The search keywords is something along the lines of "Wireless Remote Flash" on Ebay.

they look to be the same, but I got them from gadget infinity. I purchased them as well as a remote from them and even though its shipped from hong kong its pretty quick.

and heres a link for just the reciever. I have used up to 5 receivers at once now and as long as your batteries are good and are within range they work great. for the price. Once you get more then two going at a time though youll start to have sync issues if you shoot with a shutter speed faster then like 1/200. With 4 going I had to shoot down at 1/120 but with that much light its no thing cause it freezes any motion anyways. I can shoot hand help at 1/20 and have no blur issues.

I havent done the remote mod yet cause the company that guy suggest is out of stock on them at the moment but my friend did the battery mod on his without the antenna and it gets worse reception now... He did solder just a wire on for an antenna and it works better though.

Default New flash trigger on Ebay!

So I was browsing around Ebay again looking at the Cactus V2s and deciding whether I really wanted to get them.. I never really like the design and the horror stories kept me from clicking "buy it now". haha so I looked around last week and found these things. pretty interesting if you asked me.

I was skeptical at first. I knew how the Cactus worked but I wanted to know if these were totally new and how reliable. So I did a quick search on the Strobist Flickr and there were two thread on it. a lot of people said very good things. no misfires if they tried. high sync speeds and 125ft distances (max).

I just ordered a set right now because all week the shop has been closed due to Chinese New Years. xD I never thought I'd be so annoyed at my own cultural holiday.

I should get them later this week so after I play around with them I'll post up my impressions.

also found this for the Cactus owners :P

Also for those with the Cactus triggers here's a simple mod to reduce the potential of becoming a potential "horror" storyteller.
