Default scraped the curb, and tire damage.. need to replace?

To make a long story short, i scraped my wheel, resulting in a rashed rim plus a good chunk came off of my tire. The chunk missing is located by sidewall (closest to the rim?). Should i be replacing the tire or is it ok? I would say that the chunk missing is less than 1/4" deep. Any advice is greatly appreciated! thanks!

I don't man but riding on tire sidewall damage is asking for trouble. A tires sidewalls are already pretty thin and taking a chunk out just made it thinner and weaker at that spot. In a worse case scenario it may cause a blowout.
Got any pics of the damage?

it depends on what type of tires you have cause some has thicker sidewall...

A pic would help but my main thing is what type of driving will you be doing on it?

You could always just dunk it in a tub of water to see if it leaks.....
