Darn it, I was hoping this might work, although, I wonder if K&N has any proven facts or tests they might have done, showing otherwise, and proving their product does not affect with the performance of the cars. I have heard from a friend who had this sock on his STI ( I know is not an EVO, and its all wrong jk) but his shop from down in SOcal recommended him to use it, and he had no problems what so ever, in fact he was pushing 411 whp.
ive never heard of a sock on the filter hurting the car. me and my family always put them over our quads and dirtbikes filters. just helped with dirt n stuff
Evo any other wheel drive hahahaha
I used an Outerwears filter sock the three years I was in Truckee because of the dirt and gravel that was left over after the snow season. They work great.
I also have a cold air intake. My filter sits lower than the OP's. Unless the filter is completely submerged in water, it won't suck in water. Google AEM's testing on this back in the day when they created the bypass for their cold air intakes.
Nice!
