Immediately you'll notice an improvement in torque. The air coming in is sooo much cooler than an intake that sources it's air under hood. I have to take a couple pics of my setup and the couple little things I did to make it really work well.

Will post up tomorrow to show you, it's too dark right now.

i knew you had to relocated a couple of things in order for the set up to work properly... back in the day you hardly had any issues with 03-04 Evos since ACD wasnt an option...
    good stuff!!!

Finally bolted on the 4.5" Perrin filter to the APS cold air intake arm. Spool up and quick off throttle sound is a lot noisier (in a good way). Fortunately the Evo IX front bumper has a large side grill opening. So the big Perrin filter is basically feeding off the cold air coming in.

I should have pictures later today, been really busy setting up the car and etc.

So the Perrin fit? Does it rub? I might change to the Perrin too because I've heard they flow better than the traditional style air filters.

the Perrin filter fits. I got a 3.5" to 4.5" plumbing transition from Home Depot to make it work.
