+1 downshifting. Kinda just picked up the habbit, never really started doing it on purpose.

I'm hella hard on my clutch as it is. I do it mainly to try to help it out.

I do it sometimes when downshifting (but never at the track), and always when shifting into a gear where I've busted the synchro--5th gear in my Evo, 3rd gear in my Miata.

I guess I'm not too gentle on transmissions. ops:

Are you asking about double-clutch heel/toe downshifts Wilson? I'm currently training myself to double clutch on my EG, but it feels pretty foreign still.

yeah, do you do it both , on upshift and downshift?

I think double clutching is more meant for downshifting. It can probably be done for upshifting, but it'll slow you down as that'll mean more time off the gas.
