Sup guys. I was wondering what you guys put on you Evo to make it shine. Do you guys use wax or just polish? I heard that if you use polish alot, it takes some(not alot)paint off, and if you use wax, you get alot of swirl marks. :?

use a 3 stage wax like mcgwires and a 100% cotton towels that has been washed but not by bleach or fabric softner and you wont get any scratches

see the problem is you towels are to harsh thats where the swirls come from if you ever saw my car you would see i dont have a scratch or a swirl on my car

i use meguiar's swirl remover, next polish, and finally wax. all done with 100% cotton towels.

I follow the same process except I start with the clay bar and then follow it with fine cut cleaner, swirl remover, polish and then wax. I would suggest using a machine for all the steps except for applying wax.

Also remember to use a different towel for each process!!! For example.... Don't use the towel you just used for the swirl remover for removing the polish.

I use a three step Meguiar's just like Blueskies does. Only thing different is that I use microfiber towels.

And yup, Option2 is right. It's very important that you use clean towels after each step.

Will you let us know the name of your secret professional grade wax? :)

I am using Meguair's NXT wax, and it's easy to use, but I don't think it removes swirls. My car had swirls from day 1. :(

Then how about the item number and the place we can purchase it? :)
Is it supposed to be used on car paints, by the way?

We use Rejex on all our customer cars. Take a look at the pix here:

There's nothing better out there. You apply it one time and it'll last for months. All you need to do is wash it once every three weeks with soap and water....

Sharkster, can you get this stuff easily..or is it a "commercial" wax only?

A few places have it. We sometimes have it in stock. I think it's about 20 bucks a bottle (which lasts a looooong time).

You can check out the stuff here...

Sharkster - What is your company's hat for detailing/cleaning cars? This Rejex stuff looks badass, but is it something you put on after waxing or instead of waxing?

I take great care of my Evo (just like everyone else I'm sure :D ) but I can't stand the little white crap that builds up in the crevices!

How do you (or anyone else for that matter) handle that?

Sus
