Confirmed: Not April Fools
---------------------------------------------

Looks like they've cracked it for all spec Evo X's. From EvoM;

My only question is if this is for the X MR's Tranny ECU as well, as I'm under the impression the Engine and Tranny ECU need to be cracked in order to mod.

Yes it supports SST as well.

So both ECU's? Or do I not need to crack the Tranny ECU to mod?

Ooo-kay.......? :?

Anyway, I want to buy IC Piping, IC, MBC, Intake, Exhaust. In your expert opinion would you say it's safe to run all that on my car with that tune?

Also, can my car be broken in on your dyno safely?

Will this provide S-AWC tuning as well? I've heard stories of the S-AWC going all crazy with track brake pads and locking out the wheels.

Sorry, it says supports SST as well so I would imagine it supports SST as well. :)

All those mods seem fine to me other than the MBC without a tune.

Yes we can break in a car on the dyno but honestly it would be cheaper for you to break it in on the street.

Ahh, makes sense. Cool, well I know where I'm taking mine. :)

How much is the flash?

I remember about 4 years ago the Ecutek license is $500 - not including tuning or anything. That's just the fee to use Ecutek.

Luckily or unluckily... I used a standalone Apexi Power FC on my car.

The actual license fee is less than that. Really depends on the current GBP to US dollar conversion. Which as of now sucks.

Any ETA on a release date and when GST will have it? This will be one of the first things I do.

Currently we are waiting for COBB.

If there is a huge wanting for EcuTek then we will probably think about it.

Whoa, I think there's more to this then I know.....

So you can't just "aquire" the software outright? How does it work? It sounds like you have to do some kind of large buy in?

The shop has to purchase the software/hardware at a cost which is in GBP, so whatever the exchange rate at the time... currently it's almost double.

Then each Evo uses a license which is another cost per unit.
