I just purchased Bridgestone Potenza RE-750's from the Tire Rack. At 153.00 each, they're a bargain compared to other hi po tires. The ride is quiet, grip is good, they have a treadwear rating of 340 (compared to the Advan's 150), and best of all, they don't shoot you off into the weeds should you take one finger off the wheel!

I have been running on avon m550 A/S all season tires.

Not a bad tire, it's certainly not the advan, but it has a 360 tread wear rating and they are mud & snow rated (rallycross tires)

These tires are pretty quite on the street. Much quiter than the advans, not to mention the aseniz. They come in the stock tire size for the EVO.

Can't go wrong @ $104 from tire rack.

I'm looking also, and I just found Falken Gr-Beta's from discounttiredirect for $95 each. Decent tire, had good experience with them in the past, but I can't remember if they were quiet on the strret ornot, the car had exhaust before it had new tires.....
