First off, hi. I am new to the forums.
I moved to California from a state that didn't have any smog requirements whatsoever. I brought along my Evo 8 but now that I am here I doubt that it will pass smog.
My mods are as follows.
Cams (272)
Ignition module
3" pipe, no cat
aftermarket exhaust (I doubt its CARB)
boost adjustment valve
I have hesitated forever and my poor Evo has been sitting for over a year being barely driven. I really don't want to remove the cams as it was a fair bit of labor to install them. Short of removing the cams, what can I do to get this to pass? Are there no exemptions for cars that are brought in from out of state? Is there a different tag that I could get that is for like show cars that would let me drive it on the street occasionally?
