Just venting. Goddamn, I thought that the prices of gas was going to stable out. I went to my usual 76 station last night and paid $1.92 for super. Today on my way home, I pass by the same station and they raise the price to $2.24 a gallon for super! WTF? Then I heard on CNN, wait until summer time when the prices of gas really goes up. How much are you guys paying for super?

Yeah ... I just got throughly raped by Shell today ... $2.279 per gallon.

This kinda sucks since my car chews through fuel (12-15mpg city, 18-20mpg freeway)

normally base gas is ten cents cheaper than the surrounding petrol vendors. ten cents cheaper is better than nothing

I have the Shell MasterCard which gives me 5% off when gasing up at Shell, so roughly ten cents off $2. Like brwnrice said, better than nothing. Won't do me any good this weekend though, 'cuz with auto-x on Sunday I'm going to 76 to get my 100-octane fix. :(

Eh? 100 octane for the stock car? I didn't think the computer could be remapped on the fly to adapt to a significantly higher octane.. However, i could definitely see the car 'retard itself' if it were on a lower octane (if it was working with a knock sensor or something), but not.. uh.. 'enlighten itself' for higher octane.

Are the cars on the east coast running with 94 octane getting better stock dyno SAE corrected numbers than the west coast cars on 91?

This $hit sucks I do almost 100 miles a day back forth to work. It think I'm going to have to go get a Yugo for a commuter.
