After i put in the Greddy FMIC and HKS BOV, i noticed that the boost stays at 15psi. The only mods i have on my 05 evo are:

-Test pipe
-Greddy FMIC
-HKS BOV

Everything else is stock.... people say that after i get my exhaust system it should get back up to 21psi...i just wanna know is this true and is that it's only boosting at 15psi after the FMIC... not enough space for exhaust to escape.....?

You have a boost leak or you didn't put the boost control lines back together right.

While it is normal for cars with too large an intercooler or a much more efficient one to see some loss of boost pressure I think in this case you have something else going on...either a boost leak or the lines to your boost control solenoid are mixed up. Also make sure your BOV isn't leaking.

i did have some problem on trying to remenber how the vacuum was hook up before...oh and the greddy intercooler piping from the turbo does not have a nipple like the stock piping.....that's what confused me.....

uhm... that means you're running on wastegate pressure cuz you have no postive pressure signal (well you do, it's atmospheric) and that likely means your boost gauge is a bit funny too cuz wastgate pressure is 11-12 psi.

ok...so i guess it might not be the vacuum lines than......anyone had this problem with boost drop with the Greddy FMIC???

No, it sounds like you have the boost control vac lines hooked up wrong.

since i dont have the vacuum nipple from the turbo anymore because im using the greddy intercooler kit, it confused me..... how should i hook up the vacuum to the boost sensor???? i dont know if im explaining it right.... i'll try to get some pix....

no it should boost like wastegate.

The boost sensor in his pic is the stock boost controll solenoid. It should be controlling boost. Look under your hood on the right there is a diagram.

if that's the boost controller then where is the third line?

Looks like he is getting the boost source from the manifold instead of the turbo outlet pipe.

Try switching your Vac lines. The one you have on the wastegate to the one you have on the Intake Mani...

Can I hook it up like this cause i dont have the nipple on the turbo....will it still get vacuum..maybe vacuum from the intake???

Dammm..responded to late...i tried it and it boost over 25psi so i let off..just got back right now from the test drive.....i guess i'll stay with 15 psi until i get the boost controller...

So the greddy IC piping came with a new pipe off the turbo? You replaced the black pipe with the nipple on it?

Yes...the Greddy IC pipe dont have that nipple like the stock black one that bolts onto the turbo....will that be a problem......
