Right now, we are working on putting together a festive drive for everyone. We believe that having a drive at around 2 - 3pm may work out the better since this meet starts so early in the day.

More details shall be forthcoming ASAP.

Just an FYI to everyone - I checked with ATP today and the meet is actually at 11am. And the 3 dyno pulls are 65$. I am going to try to get George over at ATP to put one of their Evos with an ATP Turbo Kit on the dyno so we can see what kind of power it makes.

And yes, map and drive info coming ASAP.

jan, this may or may not be off topic, but...

what kind of dyno does ATP use? someone told me that they put two separate two-wheel dynos together to make the awd dyno, is this true?

if so, wouldnt that be bad if one of the dynos slow down faster than the other, causing some major damage to the drivetrain...no?

*im not saying that ATP dyno is bad, im juss a lil confused at what that person is telling me.

Dynojet dyno. I suppose the numbers it reads are higher than Shivs, but that would also depend on the load Shiv has set on his DD dyno.

Does the DynoDynamics only have one roller? That be weird trying to get a car on one big roller to dyno, especially if it is lowered since it might scrape!

I think what Shiv meant is that the two roller units on the Dynojet operate independantly of each other. That is, there is no mechical link (or electronic control) between them. This is what separates the AWD Dynojet from every other AWD dyno. The fact that you can upgrade a 2WD Dynojet to a AWD Dynojet by adding another Model 224 Dyno to it should make clear. I'm sure Shiv would have clarified his statement himself if he wasn't just banned a few minutes ago for some reason. :roll:

Well whatever banned or unbanned happened, it happened real quick, cuz I didnt notice it and I am on the boards constantly, glad however that everything is straightened out.

Also as most people know, only original posters or Mods can edit/modify posts. And if you're posting on NorcalEvo.net and your posts happens to be edited, 99.9% sure that a mod edited it unless there was a hacker. And since you're posting on Norcalevo, if the Mods feel like editing posts for whatever reason, they can do it (although not always right) therefore I don't believe there is such thing as "unauthorized post editing" unless it was hacked. These guidelines are followed on every forum/website and I believe thats the job of a moderator.

If you feel unjustified in your posts, or feel wronged, you can always send us a private message to bring it to our attention so we can help out. :D

We try to be fair in most cases, but human nature dictates that to be fair to certain groups, you tend to step on another groups' toes.

Basically it all boils down to, hey life's too short to hold grudges against people, so lets have fun. We can help each other out. And benefit the community as a whole.

10am - 2pm.

Why? Apparently, there are some import races on Saturday up in Sacramento. Yes it sucks, yes they told me last minute and yes there is nothing I can do about it other than whine like a little girl. No worries though - if you were planning on showing up at 11am, that's fine. If you were planning on showing up at 2.30 or later, my sincerest apologies.

just got back from the meet. always a pleasure to meet up with everyone. at first i didn't want to dyno the car until i got a few more items, but i was in "i wonder what... mode". so i decided to go ahead and do it. here are the results. i wasn't expecting the numbers that i got, but i can't complain.... :) power #'s jumped around a bit, but torque #'s stayed consistant. ( Mods: Catback, Drop-in air filter, GFB bov )

Actually the dyno graph shows it to be laggier than it feels to be honest perhaps the air flows a little easy out there on the road.

The Evo is really Gino's mule but as far as I remember the mods are,

T67 Turbo (Greddy)
Perrin FMIC
720cc injectors
Fuel pump (ahem Walbro)
264/272 cams
Cam gears
Ported heads
Metal head gasket
ARP studs
Xede
Borla exhaust with Helix DP

The 315 on pump isn't too bad and 430-440whp on pure c-16 is certainly achievable. :peace:

I would like to express a BAH! to all the people that missed the drive. That was seriously one of the best drives I have ever been on. I really got to put the Zeals to work and make those Advans scream. Four wheel slides on Calaveras are just too damn fun.

I put a max of just under 242 hp and 243tq. but that drive on calaveras was nuts... hope to do it again.. thanks daybreak (JOHN) for coming out and checkin out our meet.
