Ya one big reason to get this was NO SMOG! yaaaa. I will pop the hood for the pigs any time of day now.Gonna make it as blingy as possiblehahah. Ya, traction will be a biotch, but I got some sticky tires, lsd, and a light foot:D:D. I should have the suspension(custom coilovers) and brakes(4pot wilwood kit) on soon. My plans/steps are as follows;
1)get everyhting underneath done(suspesion/brakes/lines/undercoating/etc)
2) do the drivetrain(motor, tranny, diff, cooling system),
3)ecu wiring
4)exterior(body work, paint, etc)
5) finally interior(full bride upholstered)
I'll keep ya guys posted..im estimating 4-5months.

And SORRY cal...no flares;) I personally just think it takes away from the shape/look of the old school 'box"...MAYBE..and thats MAYBE like 1"oem looking flares..but doubt it. I know I will be loosing precious space to squeze a bigger tire..but i think it just looks clean OEM fendes. This is* my 2nd DIME(guess I fell in love from he begining and it hit me again lol) .. my first one was actually my very first car.. 2.2L race engine with side draft webers...i didnt know about sr's or any high performance stuff.

well....im not exactly sure...its been awhile since ive seen the car that i think it is, but i went high school with a guy that had his car exactly the same before he sold it. when he sold it, it was actually in some what pieces with no interior. all the guy had to do was put it back together.....so...yea...i dont know....haha

and then for awhile i thought there mightve been another 1 that looked exactly the same and they were all in the sac area....

k guys going to the paint shop tomrrow for a quote. After seeing it up close in person I am in love... and the color will be 2005 infinity g35 "carrabian blue". The bmw laguna seca blue is nice..but kinda of "flat" and not alot of shine/depth to it.* heres the color:

SR reversed engine x member(clears the oil pan), steering linkage, sway bar, tranny mount, all new poly bushings, tranny cover mount, steering box brace, control arms, etc. The brake kit is alomst identical to the one troy uses....I bought mine before I knew he carried wilwood. It bolts up to the 280z struts just like his..and I have those also. I will be going to troy for the fitment/install of brakes, upgradedbrake master cylinder, front/rear coilovers, datsport steering kit, misc things. I will be taking it to paint soon so Im saving my pennies for that wallet dent first. haha

I have had my heart set on infinity blue since the time I saw one next door. Sorry guys been busy. Car is going to paint soon(infinity g35 blue) but kinda hard to get the $4200 for paint/body since I am kinda straped trying to get a dailydriver(honda fit soon). I am workin on the motor got the head off new ARP studs in, greddy 1.2mm headgasket, Torqued down to spec of course. Then intalled HKS 264/264 cams. Then what I have been strugling with is getting the cam gears in the right position/synced up with the crank. MY dumb@$$ didnt mark the chain and gear when I took them off....so I think i got it cross your fingers when it starts up. lol. Engine harness is off to a speciality wiring shop that will rewire it for my datsun will all new relays. Basically send it back to me and all I need to do it hook up to all theconnectors in the enginebay(only one connector can go one place..cant mess that up!) , then mount ECU, and hook up +12v, IGN, START and fuel pump. Also I have been wokring on rewiring the whole car. I am ripping out all of the crappy wiring and using all new relays, fues box, etc. Bought a AL. pannel to mount everyhing that will mount inside agaist the firewall. I also have 200SQft of dynamat ordered so quite this beast up!!!!some pics;

Anyways, while Im waiting im doing all the little stuff. Here is the HID modification Im doing. Basically taking the factory sealed beams out...and putting in E46 M3 projectors in and 8k HID kit. This will be for the HIGH and LOW beams. I had to find a light that was 6" diameter, CLEAR front lens(no markings or anything) and was removeable. I searched and searched and finally ended up going to wally world and got a off the shelf "fog light" kit. Cut it all up, sealed it back for the projectors and BAM looks factory. :):) PIcs;

^ yes it is pretty roomy, Im making everyhitng simple and plain so when u look into the engine bay it looks like you can eat off of it:):)
ANyways... stopped by the body shop today for the first time..but forgot my camera, RATS! Anyways they are pretty much done with the welding/sanding etc and its ready for primer. I picked out the paint so they are going to order it(metallic blue from nissan reallllllly sweet in the sun imo). Also they are rolling the fenders so I will not have any issues with rubbing down the road. In the meantime I am doing little things example;
dash unit..custom installed 350z airvents, defi link tach(will go with all other defis that will be installed, BOOST<FUEL PRES<WATER TEMP<EGT) Still trying to figure out hoe to get the factory speedo working as it is mechanical and my s13 tranny is a wire. Debating weather to even keep the factory midddle gauge "fuel/ temp" but it is too small to throw a 60mm defi in. 52Mm MIGHT fit, ill have to measure.

This diff is a rare find and anyone that knows what this is knows it can handle some major HP. I scored when I saw it on a local f/s add for cheeeep. It is also the LSD version(you can tell by the cooling fins on the cover) which was avail in 300zx turbo 88-91or something.

Picked the car up form paint today. It better then I could think of AND More! I am stoaked! These are just some pics in the garage but it really does not do the paint justice. In the sunlight it shows the metallic ALOT more and the paint just has alot of depth to it! At different angles the paint has a purple hint to it...i LOVE IT. Paint was a 2005 nissan/infinity color (g35 and other cars) I will get alot more pics updated now I have the car and can work on it. Later!

Houston we have a problem.....
Fuel rail is hitting the hood. AHHHH. My valve cover is about 1/4-1/2" from the hood. The fuel rail is about 1" to high. Any suggestions would be great. Different fuel rail? Different injectors? Speak up!

Painless fusebox, sr wire harness, fuel pump relays, ignitor chip all tucked nicely into place. When the dash is on its hard to see it unless you look hard form underneath.

Just tidying up the remaining wiring, fitting the dash pieces, making the seat brackets fit to my stock ones, I had to machine and tap a hub adapter for my wheel its 1/2 MOMO 1/2 My own creation. The momo stuck out wayyyyyyy too far so I cut it down. All the sound dampening is done and now its time for insulation. Still decing ond a fuel system I am probably going ot go with side feed:crap: but O well. the pics;

^ haha thanks. THey came with my seats not the rails. It was just laying on the floor so I stuck it somewhere. THe camera does the HIDs no justice..the cutoff is razor sharp and full of color through out. They are not those cheep 10k, 12k crap thats on ebay. It is a 4100k bulb(whitest light output) FX45 projectors with TSX clear lens and a custom spacer. :):)

What do you guys think of this??? The setup I have right now with my HIDS..they are BI-XENON(which means they have HI and LOW beam built in) SO I can do away with the inner lights if I wanted. I found this cool little scoop at a local autoparts store and put it in for temp see what how it looks. I am guessing its form and function? As my intake for the turbo will be right behind it/

u should do the classic yellow lenses for the inner lights(maybe as fogs) since u have the high and low in the HIDs already right? and lets see this scoop thingy ur talkin about, im kinda intriged.....then i think maybe a cusco style kinda cage would set off the interior with a bit more bling...other then that, the back seats look HAWT! the carpet looks good too. then only if u can retrofit it with power windows would be coo too!! lol at least i think it would be neat....

NO pics of the car...but I stopped by the other day and its chipping away. Fuel lines look killer(billet holders and what not) Motor finally sits lower!!! The x-member was not modded..and I didnt switch the motor mounts(NIsmo's were $$ i wanted to keep them!) The OEM motor mounts themselves were cut down 1-1/2" and rewelded. Looks TITS! I can keep my topfeed SARD:D:D. Suspension should be arriving anyday..then after that is brakes a my r200 LSD. in the meantime here is a product I am KILLER proud of heheeh. I basically drilled out every rivet, re-painted the headlight surrounds like oem (flat black with silver edging) Powedercoated the metal grill gloss black, sent out the SS top for dent removal and repolished, then re-rivet it back together with SS rivits. WHEHHH. Anyways its better then factory:D:D haha. Well its my favorite part and mostly proud of so check it out! BTW its a JDM 73' grill

^NOTE:
The chrome inner "funnels" are just for show(maybe I will throw an oil cooler behind it..dunno yet) because my headlights(outer holes) are Bi-XENON which means they are low beam and have a motor in them that switch to high-beams.



Also..just a little something I picked up in hope to make it fit... Width looks like it will slip right over the 510's tranny tunnel...plus has a centerconsole and cup holders(needed badly!!)

^yup basically got that right. Well I called and got and got an update;
fuel system is done ;fuel cell, pump, regulater, lines, custom filler neck(had to weld in a new filler on the side) custom internally mounted walbro 255
Rear brakes are done...plumbing brake lines with SS lines now
Motor mounted, wired, ready to fire up
R200 diff mounted...ordered custom CV axles that are TRICK!!! weigh 1/3 of stock, and less rotating mass. all thats left for the drivetrain is shortening the driveline and were golden:)
Waiting on custom tuned coilovers and also camber plates..should be any day.
Need to fabricate some intercooler piping with the sard BOV mounted.
I might stop by this week and ill take some pics if i do:)
Btw..go this for my b-day form my g/f. lil datto present.

gettin there... fired it up for the first time..open downpipw= loud. THe gt30r sounds crazy like a jet. ordering new wheels with a better offset +42 FTL. just little things now. Illg et better pics my iphone isnt the best but all I had.

if white balance is set i think too high? (correct me if im wrong) it makes the pics turn out to look blue-ish. too low is like a reddish/orangish effect.

EDIT: need to get them harnesses in there to! :P

I think you can do a really basic white balance by getting a white sheet of paper and pointing your camera at it, and then change the white balance until it comes out white in the picture. Not positive, though, since I am also not a camera expert. It's just that the heavy bluish look of the pics screamed "fix white balance" at me. :)
